For rectal use only. Using >1 enema in 24 hr can be harmful. Do not use in patients w/ congenital megacolon, imperforated anus, CHF, or concomitantly using another Na phosphate product. Use w/ caution in patients on Na-restricted diet, taking medications affecting renal perfusion or function, w/ kidney disease, pre-existing electrolyte disturbances, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, sudden change in bowel movement lasting >2 wk, using laxative for >1 wk, decreased bowel transit time, bowel obstruction, active colitis, colostomy. Discontinue use in case of rectal bleeding, loss of bowel movement w/in 30 min of enema use, symptoms of hypovolemia, decreased intravascular vol or dehydration (feeling thirsty, dizziness, vomiting, urinating less often than normal). Pregnancy & lactation. Adult ≥55 yr.
